A BRILLIANT EXPLOIT. V.O. FOR Y.WAT, COMMANDER. London, June 35. Lieutenant-Commander Nasmith lias received the. Victoria Cross for a submarine, exploit in the Sea of Marmora by sinking one large Turkish guniboat, two transports, one ammunition ship, and three storcships, and, in addition, driving one storeship ashore. When lie had passed the most ditlicult part of the homeward journey he returned and torpedoed a Turkish transport. Distinguished Services Crosses were awarded to Lieutenant Doyle Hughes and Act-ing-Lieutenant Robert Brown, a naval reservist. Each of the erew receives the (Distinguished .Service Medal.
