BURGLARY AT HASTINGS. ! By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hastings, June 20. In the early hours of the morning enterprising burglars set to work "with crowbars on the briek strong-room of the Hawke's Bay Cool Storage Stores, and bored an 18-inch square hole through the brickwork. Another of the gang, evidently while his mates were thus occupied, endeavored to force the iron door of the strong-room, and was successful about 6 o'clock. A charwoman then appeared, and the thieves decamped. Nothing was taken from the safe, but the office was ransacked. The charwoman saw a partially dressed man with his clothes over his arm making good his escape. THIC NATIONAL BANK.
