MONTHLY MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the New 'Plymouth Harbor Hoard was held yesterday, when there were present:— Messrs .1. I!. Connelt (in the chair), N. King. E. 'Maxwell, 0. A. 'the harbormaster's monthly report stated that 20 steamships bad . arrived at tiie port during the live weeks ended June 12, aggregating 25,822 tons. The imports amounted to 7187 tons, including 1080 tons of coal. 1251 of which were for p ival.e use and -135 tons for the Railway Department.. The exports for the same period amounted to 1221 tons, making a, total of 84118 ions handled. The harbor was sounded on the 7th inst., under favorable weather conditions, and there was good water at the wharf and the approaches to it. Sl'l'El! IX TEN-DENT'S 1! EI '0 UT. The superintendent of works reported:—With the exception of three rough days, the sea Las iieen unusually calm throughout the month, consequently the Paritutu has been engaged with buckels nearly the whole of the working time at. the eastern fair-way cut.
