SPORTING.
TARAMKI CO-VLUITTEE. The Taranaki Jockoy Club District Committee met at the secretary's office last evening, when there were present: Messrs L. A. Nolan (in the chair), 11. 11. Nolan, W. 0. Weston, 'W. Sole, W. 0. Phillips, J. Gray, B. H. Chancy, J. Mc'Leod, L. K. 'Webster, C. Kniser, N". King, A. Alexander, 10. I<\ lUundell, and A. W. Budge. The North Taraiiaki Hunt Club's programme for a race meeting to 'be held on July 20 was approved, and permission was granted the Hunt Club to hold this meeting on the Taranaki Jockey Club's course. The South Taranaki Stakes, 50!) sovs., 0) furlongs, to be. run at the Taranaki Jockey Club's autumn meeting, 1917, was approved. A list of names for the unpaid forfeit list was authorised to be sent to Christchurch. T.J.C. COMMITTEE. At the conclusion of the above meeting the Taranaki Jockey Club met, when the same gentlemen were present, with the exception of Messrs R. 11. Nolan, Gray, and Budge. The annual meeting of the club was fixed for Monday, July! The chairman and Mr. Blundell wr« appointed a sub-committee to write off depreciation" for the year. Accounts amounting to £3O 14s were passed for payment.
