THE PREMIER AT TE KUITI.
ALLEGED .STATEMENT BV Ml!. MV'NAiT.. By Telegraph. —Press Association. To Kuiti. Last Night. The Prime Minister, Mr. W. E. Massev, arrived at Te Kuiti on Saturday morning. He spoke at Aria and Pio Pio the sa.me day, and returned to Te Ivniti at night. He spoke at Waitomo and Hangatiki to-day. At Te Kuiti to-night, lie had an excellent hearing .from a large audience, there ln'ing frequent applause. During the eourse oif his speech, Mr. Massey said lie had heen told that Mr. McXab said if tin- Taumnrunui election was lost by {he Oipposition it would be hv an arrangement made in the registrar's ofliee at TV Kuiti. Mr. Massey paid more would be heard of that statement. He believed the reuistrars at T« Kuiti were two perfectly honest am! straightforward 1 men, who would give no* advantage to either aide. The officers had to he protected and the statement could not be ' allowed to go. , i '
