There was a daring daylight robbery at Drummond's jewellers, in CojliUS Street, at ten o'clock this morning. A man smashed a window with fli muffled mallet, an accomplice seined a tray of diamond rings valued at £3009* and rushed through the Royal Hotel. One man held up pursuers with a revolver while the other locked a door leading to Fleming Place. Both men escaped. _ |
