A woman, Alice Constance White, a boarding house keeper, Was killed, shot through the heart, her assailant being Joseph Hamilton, a member of the expeditionary force recently returned from Egypt. Ho turned the weapon on himself, but his wound is not expected to be fatal. Jealousy is believed to be the cause.
