The newspapers are teeming with letters from wounded men. All the letters are characterised by a spirit of pride at the showing made by the Australians and New Zealanders at the Dardanelles, and show a cheerful desire to get back to the firing line. Many urgently appeal to those staying at home to give a hand. One writer says fellows want to shake themselves up in Australia and enlist. They were all wanted to take the boys' places, and it had got to be done without delay. Every young fellow ought to take n'is turn now. Another writer says: "There's no place like home, but those blokes get stopped quick and lively." A third writer says: "After this war there will be a great brotherhood of all men and women participating, and any family which cannot show a scar of some kind will be sure to be outside the circle/' AEROPLANES FROM GERMANY. FLYING OVER BULGARIA. Received June 11, 8.5 p.m. Rome, June 11. A German aeroplane flying towards Turkey over Bulgaria took fire, and the airman was incinerated. Illegitimate flights across Bulgaria for the purpose of reinforcing the Turkish air fleet have been proceeding for two months. Several machines have fallen and have been sequestrated. POSITION AT CONSTANTINOPLE. EPIDJiMIC, OF DISEASE. London, June 10. Insufficient doctors are available at Constantinople to attend the wounded, and hundreds are dying daily from want of proper attention. Contagious diseases are assuming the magnitude of an epidemic. Paris, June 10. •, The Havas Agency correspondent in Athens saya t'ie departure of German families from Constantinople is regarded as an indication that they are becoming concerned as to the position ol the Turkish army. The peace party b gaining headway, and a movement is on foot to replace the Cabinet with Tewfik Pasha as Grand Vizier.
