The bullets are filled with sulphur, which ignites on discharge and bums during flight, increasing in'severity any wound. PROGRESS OF THE FRENCH. Received June 10, 11.20 p.m. Paris, June 10. Official: \Yc progressed beyond the northern island of Xeuville and also south of the eastern part of the labyrinth. ENORMOUS ENEMY LOSSES. A SIGNIFICANT STATEMENT. London, June 9. German casualty lists cover seven thousand closely-printed pages and give evidence of the enormous losses in the crack regiments. The Times comments that this assertion acquires significance in view of the statement that Krupps are making an enormous gun to throw burning liquid, because of the charge against the Allies that they have hitherto preceded the Germans in the adoption of some method of fighting opposed to all the rul.'s of civilised warfare.
