DUNEDIN CATHEDRAL.

FOUNDATION STONE LAID. Dunedin, Juno 8. The foundation stone of the new Anglican Cathedral was laid by the Primate of New Zealand (Bishop Nevill) this afternoon, in the presence of a large gathering. A meeting was held in the Garrison. Hall to-night at which the speakers, including Bishop Julius and Bishop Averill, paid a tribute to Bishop Nevill for his valuable work in the direction of securing a cathedral worthy of the city and diocese. The erection of the new building had been made possible by the handsome bequest of Mr. Wm. Harrop sev-

eral years ago.
