A BACON COMPANY.
FORMATION OF NEW CONCERN. By Telegraph.—Pi ess Association. Pahiatua, Last Night A meeting of representatives of the dairy companies and the shareholders of the Wellington Farmers' Bacon Company was held to-day to discuss the formation of a new company to take over the business of the present bacon company, the idea being for the dairy companies to take up. shares in the new concern on the basis fof the annual output, siniilar to the Kltham company. Mr. A. Eddie presided. The meeting was addressed bv Mr. H. D. Forsyln, managing director of the South Taranaki Co-operative Bacon Company, and Mr. J. C. Cooper, managing director of the Wellington Farmers' Meat Company. It was resolved that a company be formed for the purpose of acquiring the existing bacon works at Waingawa, and that a committee of nine draw up a prospectus to submit to the annual meeting of dairy companies.
