The following is Mr. Bates' weather forecast:—Present indications are for easterly breezes, changing to freshening ncrlherlies; expect wanner weather with ii creasing haze and cloudiness generally, rain following shortly in northernmost districts and on the west coast and southern parts of the South Island; barometer falling everywhere.
