TAUMARUNUI ELECTIONS.
'Mil. C. W. IiU'SS'ELL. 'M.P., AT TIKORANfII. ' (From Our Own Correspondent.) 31r. 0. \V. Russell, M.P. for Avon, addressed a fairly well attended meeting at Tikorangi on Friday evening. The chairman, Mr. ,J. Hine, jim., briefly introduced Mr. Russell, and bespoke for him a fair and attentive hearing. Mr. Ilußsell was in good form and delivered a vigorous and interesting address on lines already reported. At the conclusion lite was, on the, motion of Mr. Alleniann, seconded by Mr. McLean, unanimously accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
In replying, Mr. Russell thanked tlie meeting for the fair and friendly hearing given in a distract which, he understood, was strongly Reform, and a vote of thanks to tlie chair concluded a very interesting evening.
