RESOLUTIONS CARRIED. I By Cable —Press Association—Copyright Adelaide, June 4. The Commonwealth Labor Conference •referred to the question of placing the nationalisation of the sugar industry on the fighting platform. The committee report and resolutions were adopted in favor of fixing the minimum tax on unimproved lands at Is in the £, strictly enforcing preference to unionists, and granting pensions to widows. Sydney, June 4.
The Labor Council negatived a motion in favor of a referendum on the questions of closing hotels at six o'clock by 01 to 31. The chief argument against the proposal was the throwing out of many employees of the trade. The conference favored a referendum on the question of nationalising the traffic.
