THE TAUMARUNUI ELECTION. Mr. A. G. Crawford, of Waitara, writes that he has been on the Taumarunui roll continuously for the past twelve or fifteen years, and now he gets a letter from the registrar, intimating that his name is not on the roll. When lie did go on the roll again, he got a second letter, stating that if he was not on the roll by May 29, though his letter was posted at Waitara on May 26, lie would be too late. Mr. Crawford wants to know if this sort of thing lias to be submitted to in a free, democratic country, but intimates that notwithstanding lie will vote at the forthcoming election.
