EMPIRE PICTURES. A holiday house greeted last night's change of programme. The Majestic star feature, "Out of the Air," was the main attraction. It is a sensational railroad and aeroplane drama. A young engineer's sweetheart is caught in a switch, with a runaway train tearing at a fearful rate towards her. The engineer gives chase in an aeroplane, overtakes the train, and drops from the aeroplane on to the train —an astounding performance—and stops the engine within a few feet of his loved one, It held the attention of the audience throughout. Supporting films: "Cheap Trans-portation," "The Adventures of a Hasty Elopement," and "He Wanted Chickens" (throe screaming comedies!; "The Girl at the Throttle" (Kaleni) and "The Hidden Message" are two splendid dramas; "The Topical Budget" and "A Visit to the Maori Camp at Avondale" are unusually interesting. "The Price of Silence," featuring 'Alice Joyce, is the star item on to-morrow's new collection. The price of a (man's silence is that a noble girl will marry and share her poverty. To save Tver father from death she does so. What comes after is an undying love. Other films are: "A Woman Scorned," A.K. drama; "A Tight Squeeze," eightli instalment of "Dolly of the Dailies" series; 'The Kaiser's Dream," comical cartoons; "Topical Budget," an exceptionally good edition; "Fatty and Minnie He-Haw," a Keystone comedy concerning "Fatty" and an Tndian squaw.
