GENERAL ITEMS. For the New Plymouth-Hawera match at Hawera to-day the New Plymouth team has been increased to nineteen players, W. H. Wood making the additional man. He will play Nichol in the singles, the draw published in the News yesterday remaining unaltered for the other players. Matches will be played on the Witiora Club's links this morning and this afternoon. The ladies' match at Waiwakaiho, which was postponed on Tuesday, will take place to-morrow. Entries for the Weston Cup close to-morrow. Locke, the Taranaki professional, will be in New Plymouth from to-day. Competitions will be played on the Inglewood Club's links to-day, in which some New Plymouth ladies will compete., A match between the Tarahua Club and Waitara will be played at Tarahua to-day. The following will represent Tarahua:—G. Chong, P. Grey, G. Grey, N. Perry, W. Berridge, D. Morey, R. Cannell, G, Carter, A. T. Moore, J. Grey, R. Renner, E. Carter. Stratford plays Inglewood on the former's links to-day. Pair's best ball matches will be played in the 1 morning, at 0.30, and the match proper will commence at 1.30 In the afternoon.
