A CHINAMAN' DROWNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Taumarunui, May 29. While crossing the Wanganui river this morning on their way to town from their market garden with a supply of vegetables, two Chinamen were carried down the river, which was in Hood. After floating for several hundred yards the trap was at last overturned, and both occupants were thrown out. One managed (,> reach the shove, but the other was drowned. The lior.-c was rescued after a good deal of difficulty, a* it had got entangled in the harness.
