Archdeacon Harper, vicar of St. 'Peter's Anglican Clmreh, Wellington, is resigning for domestic reasons and leaves for England with his family in August. Mr. It. S. F. Craig, of Mnuaia, who is going to the front in his professional capacity as a dentist,, lias passed the necessary preliminary medical examination and expects to leave Manaia ill t'je course ol a few weeks. A Loudon cable announces the death of the Countess of Cardigan. Presumably this refers to the wife of the Earl of Cardigan. She was a daughter of the late John Madden, of Hilton Park, County Monaghan, and was married in 11)03.
