ORGAN RECITAL.

There was a largo attendance at the organ recital given by the Rev. E. I'hitty, M.A., at St. Mary's Church last evening, and the splendid programme given was thoroughly enjoyed. The performance was a very finished one, the Rev. Chitty proving nil organist of 110 mean ability, while the. two vocal items, the aria from the "Messiah" and "The People that Walked in Darkness" were very nicely sung. The eight instrumental items included works from such well known composers as Mendelssohn, Guilmant, S. Bennett, and Ijemnre. The musician brought out the full powers of the organ, and his efforts were heartily appreciated. The collection in aid of the organ fund amounted to over £lO.
