The gathering took the form Of a social evening, during which three presentations were made to Dean 'McKenna. The first was from the children of the parish and convent schools, the second was that of the members of the congregation, while the third came from Inglewood, of which the dean was for some time in charge. Every good wish was expressed for the reverend gentleman's welfare during his absence. The dean suitably replied, The remainder of the evening was devoted to harmony, and supper was subsequently served.' At St. Joseph's on Sunday evening, every available seat was occupied, when Dean .McKenna preached his farewell sermon.
