The casualty li.st received last night contains the nainos of two New I'lynioutli men killed in action oil May '2. One is Corporal W. J. Copeland, who was for some time employed at J. C. Spedding and Co.'s Xeiv 'Plymouth branch, and the other, Private' J. W. Sini tli, of Messrs. liortlnviek's stall", Waitara.
Mr. W. Stanley, Egmont Road, received a cablegram on Saturday, stating that his son, Private E. C. Stanley, who was wounded at the Dardanelles, is progressing favorably. Ueiitcnunt Hic'iard Ewan Egglestone, 11 0 is reported as missing, is a native of <!ta:>o, and was horn at Lawrence on July (>, 18S0. He is a telegraphist 111 civil life, and was a member of the Dunedin Engineers and J! Battery. Formerly lie comninrided the Dunedin Telegraph Office Senior Cadets. He was single, and went away with the main force.

reported /as killed, was horn at I'ulnierston North, and was formerly il diaper's assistant in the employ' of Messrs. Magnus Manson, of Rotorua. Tic was a member of the 3rd Reinforcements. and wik at one time attached to the Hauraki Ttilles.
Lieutenant David .Tolin Albert Lyttle, who has been reported from the front as missing, was previously cabled as wounded. TTe was horn at Waikaia on -January 28, ISSS, and was a school teacher formerly in the employ of the Southland Education Board.' Lieutenant, Lvttlc belonged to the 14t.1i (South Ofagti) Regiment. Cable advice was received on Wednesday by Mrs. J. F. ITeighwav, oi Epsom, that her soil, Mr. Edward John Heighway, was saved when the Lusitania was sunk. Mr. Heighway was a member of the crew, but his mother does not know in what capacity. He is forty years of age, and was horn at Thames. It is interesting to recall that Mr. TTeighway received four medals for life-saving in connection with the Volturno disaster. One was pinned on his breast by the King, the second was the Royal Humane Society's medal, one was given by Lloyd's, and the fourth was the gift of a newspaver.
Captain A. V. Spcdding. of the Otago Battalion, who is reported as killed in action, was a son of Mr. D. Jr. Spedding, a Dunedin auctioneer. He was boi'n at Dunedin on March 7, 18!)0, and was admitted as a solicitor prior to leaving with the main force for Egypt, his late employers being Messrs. Downey, Stewart and Payne, solicitors, Dunedin.
Private Frederick Smit.li, reported as killed, was bom at Duneilin twenty-two years ago. }Te was a. laborer, formerly in the employ of Mr. P. McCann, of Duneilin.
Major R. Price, who is reported ns killed in the Dardanelles fighting. was one of the most, popular and efficient officers of the 4th (Otasro) Regiment. -Major Priee came of fighting stock, most of hia male relatives being connected with some branch of the, .service. His father, who resides in Wellington, was captain in the "Royal Marine Light Infantry, and both his grandfather and great-grandfather served in the British Navv. Major 'Prfee was connected with the Petone .Navals for many years as an officer while on the staff of the Public Trust Office, and on- being t.arnsferred to Dunedin he joined the Otago Rifle Volunteers, and was given command of the Waikari Rifles. When the Territorial scheme came into operation, he wa-s given the command of T! Company of the 4th (Otago) Regiment. Trior to leaving for the front,, he was employed in the TJnnedin Public. Trust Office, and on his volunteering for service he was Riven command of A, Company (4th Otago Regiment) of the Otago Infantry Battalion. Major Price was a single man. tie. was born at Karari thir'tvsix years ago, and his father is a wellknown draftsman, being formerly in the Survey Department, .and recently a draftsman at the Defence headquarters.
MORE INFORMATION ASKED FOR. Wellington, "May 22. The Prime Minister informed a Post reporter that the. Governor has sent a cable to the Imperial authorities saving he would be very grateful if they could definitely ascertain and telegraph as soon as possible whether there is any further list of killed and wounded in the Dardanelles engagements, in order to allay anxiety that exists. Captain S. S. Hunter, of Rendigo, has lieen killed at the Dardanelles. He was an amateur sprinter, and ran deadheat with Smith in the 100 yds Australasian Championship nt Auckland in and secured the championship in 1901. 1
