(Advt.) Sir,—ln defence against rumors brought under my notice kindly allow me space to reply through your columns. Surely, slanderers ought to know that they are liable to be prosecuted for spreading false rumors to cause pcKonal and material harm. I must state that I am a Russian, naturalised in New Zealand, and doing my best to support my adopted country, and keep the lUnion Jack flying to enjoy life and freedom under it. How can a person be pro-German or sympathise with brutal Prussianism when he has been expelled from Germany for expressing his views on some" of the methods they are now adopting in the present war? I may say lam prepared to donate £5 to the Belgian Relief Fund if anv person can be 'produced who ever beard me utter a word antagonistic to the British nation.—l am, etc. HARRY ARE'DA.
