FOLLOW THE KING MOVEMENT. Sydney, May 20. Forty-six municipal councils in New South Wales approved the "Follow the King movement," and thirty others tacitly negatived it. GERMAN NEWSPAPER. Brisbane, May 20. Tlie local German newspaper Zeitung published an article urging German electors to vote for the Liberals, including Mr. Dcnliam. This roused strong comment in a section of - the press, and a public denial by Mr. Denham that his party had authorised the publication of the article. THE DUTY ON SUGAR. Melbourne May 20. Deputations, representing the State Government Sugar Growers and Producers' Association, asked Mr. Tudor to remove the duty on sugar. He promised to deal with the applications when the Government's investigation of the whole question, including the quantity required to be imported, had been completed.
