CRIME IN PAPUA. Bj Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, May 19. Judge Murray denies that capital crime among natives of Papua is increasing. He points out that there were seren murders of whites in the five years prior to the Commonwealth control, while there have been only four (luring tho last eight years. The punishment for a native who murdered a European was invariably death. The pacification of the territory is proceeding satisfactorily. A TRIPLE TRAGEDY. Melbourne, May 19. A mysterious triple tragedy iias occurred near Geelong. The 'house of Thomas Morrison, who was absent in tho hospital, was discovered on fire, and the doors fastened. Morrison's son, 12 years old, was found dead sitting in a chair in tho kitchen with a gunshot wound in the head, and the charred corpses of Mrs. Morrison and her brother, Daniel Mcintosh, in an adjoining bedroom, with a gun on the floor. There is no clue or attributable cause. REVOLUTION IX PORTUGAL. Lisbon, May 18. All the Republican parties are supporting ttie new Cabinet.
