PORTUGAL REVOLUTION.
MANY LIVES LOST. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, May 17. A Lisbon message states that the revolutionaries triumphed. Signer Castro, ex-Premier, was taken prisoner and placed aboard the Vasco da Cama, Alfonso Costa's assassination is denied. Lisbon, May 17. Sixty were killed and 2(10 wounded to Friday. There has been further fightin.L; since and many casualties. Two hundred were killed and five bundied wounded, mostly Republican guards. There wore further disturbances yesterday. Souor Chagas bas been appointed Premier of the new Cabinet. Senor Arriaga has expressed approval of the revolution. He remains President till the expiry of his term itl August. A. FRESH DISTURBANCE. Received May 18, 0.15 p.m. Madrid, May 18. Lisbon advices state that Signor TieHas 'lirod at Signor Chagas. who was travelling from Oporto to Lisbon to take up office. Signor Chagas reached Lisbon in a serious condition. A gendarme was killed' at Treitas, where a fresh disturbance has broken out.
