LOYALTY OF FARMERS. ■■ HIGHER PRICES FOR PRODUCE, By ToJesTaph.-Prcas Asaociafion. ' Pahlatua, May 18. Ihe annual Wellington Provincial Conference of the New Zealand Farmers* Union opened to-day, about fifty delegates being present. Mr. T. Moss (Eketahuna) delivered a lengthy address dealing with the aspects of the war from the fanners' standpoint, ar.d the high prices of produce obtaining. He Rave a eulogy of the services of the late president, Sir James Wilson, ♦expressing great appreciation of the recognition of his review* by his receiving a knighthood. The delegates will bo banquctted to-night.
