RAII'IRE PICTUHES. Last night's larjrc aud'ience at the Kmpire Theatre thoroughly enjoyed the new collection presented. * Lubin's feature drama, "The Crip of the 'Pa-l." is a very exciting production, and held the attention of the audience throughout. The second feature drama, "The ITnopcn<*d Letter," by Kdison, is one of the finest love stories screened for some time. Tlie "Australian Oazette" is full of items of interest. The 'Hlilma Troupe'' supplied some hhjh-elass vaudevilV. Kevstone's comedy, "Stout Heart, hut We.-ik Knees," caused rounds of lau::hier. i; \ Millinery Mix-up" and file Knrj/hirs" were the other two ecnedies shown. To-morrow Maurice Costello, itu;*raphV star actor, will appear as Mr. Karnes iji fi'.cq- Mroadwav feature, "Mr. Ihirnes <*f Xev/ York." in four parts, and. in lcmjt.ii.
