COLONIAL APPLKS IX LOXDOX. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, May 12. Cabled advice from the High Commissioner with regard to the small consignment of New Zealand fruit shipped by the Ruahine states that the apples arrived in excellent condition, and were exhibited at Covent Garden. Much interest was taken l>y members of the fruit trade and the' Press. The pric.s realised were up to 3Jd each for Cox's Orange, and up to IJd each for Jonathans. The pears shipped, however, arrived in bad condition.
MASOXIC GATHERING. Wellington, Last Night. Tlie Grand Lodge business at tlt-j afternoon sitting was of a purely nnsonic character. A very large gathering took place in the evening to witness the installation of the Grand .Master, which was carried out in brilliant circumstances.
