FIRE AT STRATFORD.
TOBACCONIST ISCBXT OUT. ADJOINING PREMISES INVOT-VKD. Stratford, This Morning. At 2 a.m. tins morning our Stratford enrn-spondent sent word that nt L.'iD a.m. a lire broke out on £7ie premises of Sir. Mercer, tobnronist, 011 the railway aide of Broadway. The building, which was practically destroyed, also included a. billiard room. Tlie adjoining premises occupied by Mr. Pivac and used as refreshment rooms, was also damaged. The fire was still burning, but was under control. The fire brigade did excellent work, a good supply of water being available.
