NOTKS. Thursday week will see tlie opening of the. lit 1.5 Cup competition in Tarannl;i, -when the juniors and second juniors in the Northern division will sot the bail rolling. The following Saturday will see. the competitions ill full swing, as on that date the seniors in the .Northern division and all grades in the Southern division will outer the arena. The Northern division is strengthened liy tile inclusion of l-ilthani juniors and second juniors, whilst the Southern division is 'Weakened by the defection of Okaiawa seniors. This club, which has battled aiong gamely during thc past two or throe years, limls that it can <.n!y enter teams in the two minor grades this year. It is hoped, however that its lean years mav soon be over.
