Belgian Lass was left behind at tlie post. Coropet asserted himself in the straight, and won by a short length. Time olsee. Powder Fox led all the way, and won by a length, tlie other horses being eloso together. Time lmin lGsec. OMAKA WELTER, of 100 sovs, seven furlongs.—l Rone 1, 3 Arlington 2, 2 Hap Dha 3. Also started: Ruapara, Soporolic, Reinzi. The favorite secured the advantage at the start and maintained it till the turn into the straight, when Hap Dha went to the front, Arlington being handy. Rone, who was "well ridden, recovered ground and fought out the finish, winning by a short neck. Hap Dha being a neck behind Arlington. Time lmin 30sec.

PRESIDENT'S HANDICAP (open), of 175 hovs, one mile and a distance.—l Rene 1, 3 Aehilledes 2, 2 Diavolo 3. Also started: llyron, linmer, hnarose, Monologue, Peroneal, Margarita. From a perfect start Margarita led off, and remained in the front all the way round, Aehilledes being well in the. rear. Turn-' ing for home, Aehilledes made a wonderful recovery, but could not head Rene, who won by a short head. Margarita ran off on the rails. Time lmin 58see.

RIVERLANDS HACK, of 100 sovs, five furlongs.—l Multoe 1, 3 Royal Sleeves 2, 8 Gold Necklace 3. Also sta"ted: Excitement, Powder Fox, Portland Flame, Pink Heather. Royal SI eeves had a Hying start, but coming into the straight Multoe challenged, winning by half a length, a long neck separating the second and third horses. Time lmin 22sec.

SEYMOUR WELTER (open), of 100 sova, one mile.—3 Aehilledes"], 2 Chillies 2, 7 Waipunui 3. Also started: Want, Monologue, -Montana, Royal Dragoon, Reacon, Munji. Chillies led out from Want and Royal Dragoon. 'Achilledes came to the front in the straight and won easily by a length and a half. Time lmin -13 l-3sec.

I'IXAL HACK, of 100 sova, six furlongs. 1 Haumakaka 1, 2 Whisperer 2, 4 Elopement 3. Also started: Ruapara, Coropet, Killaloo. Tne top weight hung fire at the start, but came through steadily, anil after a close finish won by a head, the same distance being between the second and third horses. Time lmin 1G 2-s.se?-.

The totalisator handled £9778, the total for tile two davs being £15,945, as against £15,208 last year.
