(From Our Own Correspondent.) Some local sportsmen have already secured big bags this season, which Is .stated to be a good one for most kinds of game. Wild pigs are particularly plentiful in many districts. The largest bag reported up to the present is that of Mr. R, Casey when Bhooting over his brother's property at Wavcrley last week. It included 107, quail, 2G ducks, 7 pheasants, 46 pukaka and one wild'boar A very satisfactory reBult for two days' rfnootlng. Several Eltham families have sent their quota of young fellows to take up arms for their country. Mr. W. Barnard has live sons in the forces, and Mrs. MacLeod four sons. Mrs. A, Perrett has also four near relatives with the colors.

The Eltham Brass Band will give a programme of music at Ngaero Gardens on Sunday week in aid of the Belgian Rolief Fund.
