THE WINTER SHOW.
The Taranaki Metropolitan Agricultural Society's big winter fixture appears to be attracting a great deal more interest this year than in previous years. It may possible be on account of the wonderful display promised by the Goi vemnieut Agricultural Department, or it may he that the successful winter function is becoming more popular each year. In any case it is assured by the numerous enquiries for space and schedules that the large Coronation Hall and the two annexes will be full to overflowing during June !) to 12, and New Plymouth will be very busy. The dairy produce classes, for which the entries have closed, have drawn a record number of entries, and will be a show worth seeing. The side shows and working exhibits will be more numerous than ever, and will include some of the star attractions now doing the principal towns of New Zealand, so that visitors ' to the show will lind penty to see and i amuse them. The schedule which is | now being issued, and can be had on ap- • plication, has been completely revised, : and is now on a very extensive scale, ■ providing competitions for one and all. j Altogether the show gives promise'of beI ing the best ever held in this district, ,' and can be made so if everyone will I assist. If you haven't received a sched--1 ule, don't forget to send for one, as i you are sure to find at least one class ; you can enter in.
