TAUMARUXUI. j There were two candidates for the Mayoralty. Messrs. F. W. Simmons (Mayor) 'and Ci. S. Steadman. The latter won by 82 votes. The members of the new council arc: the Rev. J. K. Ward and Messrs. C. J. Ryan. I!. A. Beattie. \V. H. Fletcher, C. M. Dunster, all previous members of the boroush, and Messrs. M. llickey, K. J. Irvine, G. F. Thompson and 1). R. Brown, newmembers. Mrs. Walkei- was defeated. TE KUITI. There were two candidates for the Mayoralty. Messrs. R. Somerville and Oabriel Elliott, the voting being for the first-named 3.">S and the latter 121. The, members of the new council are: Messrs. A. U. Uowarth. J. F. Walsh, W. Mabbett, G. S. James, M. ,)'. Jones,-all previous members. The new members are: Messrs. 11. Vauso, R. 1"!. Webber, C. F. Turner and F. Lever, the. defeated candidate being Mr. (I. Elliolt.
