LONDON WOOL SALES.. The Hank of New Zealand has received the following cable advices from the London Ollico:—London wool sales: Crossbreds live to seven half per cent, cheaper; slipes unchanged; merinos superior unchanged; inferior seven half per cent, cheaper. ] London, April 28. There was spirited, general bidding at the wool sales, Iml prices were tin. changed. Craigmore top i7'/.d, avehige Hid to Is Sd. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date April 27: —London fourth series wool sales opened with good competition; America competing. The--market is firm for good merino. Inferior and faulty merino and greasy crossbred are- 5 per cent, lower. The lifth series, of wool sales is fixoft, for June 29: Wellington, April 29. Following is the High Commissioner's market report, dated London, April 27: The colonial wool sales have commenced. There is a good attendance with someFrench and American buyers operating; but bidding is irregular. The price for superior merinos is unchanged, but medium and inferior and all grades of crossbred, are ,!d lower than the closing rates at last sale. There are 75,000 bales, of New Zealand wool available. LONDON MARKETS. London, April 2S. ; Tallow.—l Bos casks were offered; and 091! : sold. Mutton, fine 41s, medium 35s to Ms; beef, fine 40s od, medium 335. Wheat is from threepence t& sixpence lower, owing to finer weather in «£hc Argentine and better American crop reports.
