I London, April 28.—Passed Piawle I Point, (Devonshire), Trafalgar, from New Zealand.

SAILED. Bluff, April 29.—Sailed, Wimmera, at 2.30 p.m., for Hobart. Newcastle, April ,29—Sailed, Mel-: bourne, for Auckland. MAPOURIKA ARRIVES. The Mapourika arrived from "Wellington yesterday with 105 tons of general cargo. After discharge, the Ma'pourika will sail for the south. CORINNA DUE TO-DAY. The Corinna is due to-day from southorn ports with about 450 tons. She will remain here till Monday, leaving on' that day for Wellington. She leaves Wellington on Wednesday for New Plymouth, leaving on Thursday for Wellington and southern ports. THE FLORA. The Flora has left Dunedin for New Plymouth, via Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. NEW PATEA LIGHT.

Referring to the new light at Pate<i, the Press says:—The gas necessary for the light is stored in steel cylinders or gas accumulators, and one accumulator will supply gas to the lantern for three months. Except for the changing of the accumulators as they become empty, the installation is entirely unattended, thus reducing the labor entailed to a minimum. The whole of the 'work of installing the light was carried out l>y the wharfinger/Mr. E. Fowler, under tlie supervision of the board's engineer, Mr. K. S. Thompson.

ATHENIC TO LEAVE HOME. The local agents for the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company advise that the Athenie. which was to have left London on 'April 15 for Wellington, via Capetown and Hobart, is'now timed to leave Home on Monday next. The vessel's detention is due to the extreme congestion at the London docks. The Athenie will carry no -passengers on the outward or Homeward voyages. She is due at Wellington about June 17. The projected departure of - the Corinthic from London on May 14 remains unaltered.
