HALE OF WELIXGTON PROPERTIES. Wellington, Last Night. The sale of city properties belonging to tin- estate of the late Mrs. S. Ai Rhodes was held to-day. Three sections with small frontages to Lambton Quay (next to the Union Hank), Fcatiicrston Street and Grey Street, offered in one lot, was pased in, but ultimately waa sold privately for £24,000. A' Wocß 31 sections lying between Lower Cub|! Street and Comhill Street was sold to \facky, Logan and Caldwell for £15,000. With two other small sales, the total value of disposals -was £42,000. BUTTER AT 2s 11.. Wellington. Last Night. The Agricultural Department lias been advised by the New Zealand Trade Commissioner at Melbourne that the wholesale price of butter in that city is 18 Oil, and the retail price 2s per lb.
