GERMAN SEA RAID ON CANADA. AN UNLIKELY STORY. London, April 27. A message from Portland (Maine) says that Captain 'Branch, of the interned German barque Dolbeck, states that a German squadron of fifteen vessels is heading for the coast of Canada, intending to destroy the cities and fortifications. His information was contained in a letter from an officer of the German navv. Captain Branch believes that the squadron is making its way along the coast of .Norway and thence to Canada. A TRAWLER MINED. GERMAN AEROPLANE AT WORK. London, April 27. The Grimsby trawler Recolo struck a mine and sank in the North Sea. Two perished. A Gorman seaplane at East Dover attempted to bomb a trawler, but missed.
