TO-DAY'S POLLS.
ISSUES TO BE DECIDED. To day the municipal electors of New Plymouth will be called on to select the Mayor of the town for the neJct two years, and from five candidates for the Taranaki Hospital and Charitable Aid Board three members are wanted to represent New In addition to this, electors will be given the opportune ity to show whether they favor the weekly half-holiday on Thursday afternoon or on Saturday afternoon. Everyone on the municipal roll will be permitted to vote on eacli of these questions. The polling hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The issues are as follows: Mayor—Mr. J. E. Wilson (the retiring Mayor) and Mr. G. W. Browne.
Hospital Board—Three members from Mr. F. C. Bellringer, Mr. A. E. (fykes, Mr. 0. W. 'Browne, Mr: A. E. Watkins, and Mrs. Dot'krill. "Half-holiday question—Thursday afternoon or Saturday afternoon.
