FOOTBALL.

INGLEWOOD CLUB. The annual meeting of the Tnglewood Football Club was held last Monday evening, and was largely attended. Mr. L. de Launay presided. The report stated that the past season had not been so successful financially a3 the committee would have liked to see. The deficiency had been brought about mainly through members failing to pay their travelling expenses. The Queen Carnival and the war no doubt detracted from the interest taken in' the game towards the latter part of the season, as these had absorbed a considerable amount of the' spare cash of both players and public. It was hoped that players would ihake an effort to wipe off the amount owing and continue to play the game in the sportsmanlike manner the club Had been so noted for in seasons gone by. Quite a number of the club's members'had gone to_tlie war, and no doubt members would join with the committee in wishing them "good luck" and a safe return. " ,

The; balance-sheet showed receipts to have been £2O IBs (id (members' subs. £5 12s Od, gates £0 lis Od, hon. members' subs. £li 14s, members' contributions to travelling expenses £1 18s Od). The expenditure reached £2B Is 3d (travelling expenses £l2 ss). The credit balance of £5 at the beginning of the season was wiped out, anil there was now a debit of 4 s Od.

The secretary was instructed to write to the Tarenaki Rugby Union asking to have all matches between. Okato and Inglewood played at New Plymouth. On the motion of Messrs Smith and Nicholls, it was resolved:_ "That, as a slight recognition of services, the following members, who have left for the front, be ranked as honorary members until they return: Robert' Bishell, RupertNicholls, George Nicholls, George Mibs, Percy Chapman, and C. PROPOSED NEW BOUNDARIES, A meeting of , delegates of the Taranaki Rugby Union, to consider the question of boundaries was held at Stratford on Wednesday night, there being present: Messrs E. Nalder (Hawera), in the chair; P, Skoglund, B. Fearon (Kaponga). J. Gillick, G. Morrisn (Eastern Sub-union), ASmith (Inglewood), C. Jackson (Stratford), A. Hansen (Eltham), D. Ryan (Manaia). The principal discussion was over the boundary between Inglewood and Stratford. Stratford were losing some of their territory on the cast by the allocation of a district to the Eastern Subunion, and the Management Committee recommended extending their boundary on the north, thus curtailing Inglewood's territory. Mr. Smith said the proposed bounddary would cut out Tariki from Inglewood. Tariki was the mainstay of Inglewood, and by taking away Tariki they took about eighteen players from Inglewood, killing the Inglewood dull.'

Mr. Jackson said lie did not want to hint the Jnglewood Club. Stratford was only asking for a fair share.
