HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. (Wellington, April 22. Tlic High Commissioner reports, undei date April 21, 10.03 a.m.:— The Russians on Sunday repulsed bj file mid hand grenades unemyi attacks on positions east of Telepocza and Polen. In the direction of Stryj a hostile attack on a height near Orawezik was at first successful, hut in the evening a counterattack reoccupied the height, after an obstinate fight, taking prisoners. In the eastern Razanka Range we exploded on Sunday a mine under a Ger man position. The French immediately by bayonet attack tarried the position, and captured a hundred Germans, four machine-guns, and a trench mortar. A Russian torpedo-boat and destroyers, in the. Black Sen, bombarded Turkish positions at Arkhanc, near the villages of Sonni and Vitze.
' There was a violent cannonade in 'the region of Arras. In the wood at Montmare the French attacks gained slight progress. Two German counter-attacks on the line of trenches won on Tuesday were repulsed, in the evening. Belgian aviators bombarded the arsenal at Bruges and the aviation ground at Lissevegh.
