Mr. Fisher, questioned re the Fiji correspondent's statement that it wis rumored that Fiji was likely to be brought under the direct control of Australia, said he could give no definite information, because he had not received any. It was quite unlikely that anything would be done in the matter till the end of the war. The Daily Telegraph points out that Mr. Fisher does not deny that a transfer is to be made, and adds that there ; are indications that the Tcport is correct.
