Wellington, April 20.—Sailed, at 6.15 p.m., Poherua, for New Plymouth. THE FLORA. The Flora leaves Lyttelton on Thursday for New Plymouth, via Oainaru, Timaru, and Wellington. THE STORM. The Storm arrived from Westport at 1 p.m. yesterday, with 418 tons of Westport and Stockton coal. THE NGAHERE. The Ngahere left Greymouth yesterday morning with 500 tons of coal, and is due here this morning. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa arrived from Onehunqa yesterday morning, bringing a general cargo of 102 tons, included in which were 15 tons of cement and 7 tons of sugar. POHERUA DUE TO-DAY. The Poherua is due at New (Plymouth to-day, and on arrival will discharge cargo from Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. From here the Poherua will proceed to Westport and Greymouth. Captain Bilton, who was in command of the Poherua when the steamer was last in New Plymouth, has transferred to the iPukaki.

CHEESE FOR TIIE lONIC. Tlie Corinna, which left New Plymouth with 4500 crates of chesse for transhipment to the lonic, also took 1000 crates of chcesc from Onehunga for this vessel. The Kini is taking 5000 crates of cheese from the Bluff for transhipment to the lonic. TURAKINA AT HOBART. The New Zealand Shipping Co. has been advised by cable that the Turakina arrived at Ilobart at 11 o'clock on .Saturday night from London. The cable message added that the liner was to sail at 0 p.m. on Monday for Wellington, where she is due next Saturday morning. OTAGO HARBOR WORKS. The Otago Harbor Board have had in hand some extensive works during the year, the Black .Tacks' wall, the southern endowment wall, and the reclamation at Port Chalmers for the Union Company being cases in point. These and other big schemes will be completed within the next year. The Priestman dredge, filled with drilling plant, is now at Port Chalmers, engaged in work in connection with the blasting away of rock preparatory to building the new shear-legs wharf. This work, which the old 222 dredge was unable to cope with, will occupy about six months, and within a year Port Chalmers will have the satisfaction of possessing a shear-legs wharf that will still further enhance the excellent docking arrangements already in existence.
