[ BELGIAN RELIEF FUND. Sydney, April 10, The Belgian Consul's fund totals £220,000, including £47,712 from Auckland and Christc'iurch. The Lord Mayor's patriotic fund has reached £105,665. NO PENALTY ON FOREIGN TRADE. Received April 20, 8.40 p.m. Sydney, April 20. Mr. Tudor announced that the Government has decided not to impose a surcharge on German goods after the war, and any tariff discrimination in favor of foreign commodities will be reciprocal.
THE MEN UNDER ARMS. NEARLY 70,000 MEN FOR SERVICE. Received April 20, 11.25 p.m. Melbourne, April 20. Mr. Fishor authorises the publication of the expeditionary forces. There have already-'hecn despatched to Egypt 1387 officers, 41,759 men, 20,889 horses, 2346 vehicles. The casualtieg wore 99 deaths. There were now in training 696 of- ' fleers, 24,380 men, 10,057 horses, and 752 vehicles. The New Guinea force consisted of 62 officers and 1460- men. The casualties were two officers killed, : and one wounded; five men killed and five wounded, seven deaths. The pre- 1 sent force occupying New Guinea comprises 29 officers and 428 men. 1
