The following is air: Bates' weather forecast:— Present indications are for strong and increasing westerly winds, particularly southward of New Plymouth and Castlepoint. Unsettled weather with rain is probable in the western and southernmost districts of the South Island, and mild and hazy conditions are likely to precede an unfavorable change elsewhere shortly:. Barometer falling everywhere.
