PERSONAL. Mra. Frank Blundell, who lias been on a visit to her relatives in Feilding, lias returned. Misa Iris Croolte is visiting friends m Feilding. iMrs. J. Avery and Mrs. S. Cottier, who have been touring the North Island, have returned.

Miss Dora Bedford, who is holidaymaking in Auckland, returns on Tuesday. Mr. George Newman (Auckland) is the guest of his brother, Mr. W. Newman. Mrs. Bertalot, who has been the guest of Misses Hcmpton, has returned to Auckland.

Misa Collins (Wellington) is visiting Mrs. liscli, Fitzroy. Mrs and Miss vV. Crooke, who have been visiting friends in Marton, have returned.

Mr. M. Fraser, who lias been visiting Tauranga (where lie was the guest of his daughter, Mrs. Cyril Williams) and Rotorua, has returned.

. Mr. and Mrs. Millar, who have been visiting New Plymouth, have returned to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Bircli and Miss Wilson, who have been on a short visit to New Plymouth, have returned to Marton. Miss'Tlealey (Australia), who is touring New Zealand, paid New Plymouth, a short visit this week. Mrs. E. Carthew,'who has been on a visit to Auckland, has returned. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly, who have been staying in New! Plymouth, have left for Wellington. Mrs. Benbow and family, who liava been visiting relatives in Ngaere, have returned to New Plymouth for a few days before sojourning to Wellington. Mrs. R. A. Colson, who has been on a visit to Auckland, has returned. Miss P. Crooke has returned, after a

pleasant trip to Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. Ellson, who have been staying in New Plymouth, have returned to Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. Knight (Devonport) are on a visit to New Plymouth. 'Mrs. Bert Griffiths is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. H. Butler, Wellington. Mrs. Benson (Feilding) is paying New Plymouth a visit. Miss Whitcombc (Hawera) has come to take up her residenco in New Plymouth.

Mrs. Alec. Mcintosh, with her son, Mr. R. Mcintosh, and Miss McClatchie (the former's sister) leave on Monday for Christchurch, their future home. Miss Constance Lcatham has returned from her visit to Christchurch.

Miss Pratt leaves on Monday for Napier. where she will be the guest of Mrs. W. H. Skinner.

Miss M. Hopkins, Christchurch, is the guest of Miss Constance Leatham.

Mrs. W. A. Thomson, who has been on a visit to New Plymouth, has returned to Awakino. Mrs. Stevens, who has Been visiting her daughter, Mrs. H. L. Cutfield, at New Plymouth, has returned to iPalmerston North.

Mrs. Lodge, who has been the guest of Mrs. Bell-Thompson, at Te Henui, has returned to Auckland.

Mrs. Gordon Fraser is liome again from iManaia, where she lias been visiting lier brother, Dr. Milroy. Mr. and Mrs. E. Dockrill liave returned from a visit to Rotorua. Bridge.—Last Tuesda ■ Miss J. Mackay gave a delightful littY auction bridge evening in her rooms at "Kingsleigh," the floral decorations (bowls of Virginia creeper in autumnal tints) being greatly admired. After play was finished ft most recherche little supper was served. Amongst those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Weston, Mr. and Mrs. 6. Kebbell, Mrs. Paul, Miss 0. Mackay and Mr. E. Humphries. A surprise party was taken to Mrs. Hirst's last Wednesday, and quite a jolly time spent playing bridge, Mrs, Courtney winning the first prize. Amongst those present were: Mesdames W. Bayly, Paulj Hirst, J. Wilson, Courtney, J. E. Wilson, A. MacDiarmid, Simpson, H. Kussell, Hutchens and Misses B. Bayly and B. JHirst. Mrs. I''. Webster gave a most enjoyable bridge party last Wednesday evening, the prizes being awarded to Mrs. G. Kebbell (first) and Mrs. S. Cottier (second). Amongst those present were: Mesdames H. Stocker, Percy Webster, Medley, Elliott, Hill, S. Cottier, L. Webster, and Misses Crawford, Bedford and Wood. Shampooing, Hairdrcasing, and Twisttag. Electrolysis for the permanent removal of superfluous hair. Switohes, Toupees, etc. Ladies' combings made up to any design. Mrs. BEADLE, Egmont Toilet Parlors, Griffiths' Buildings, near Carnegie Library.
