WAITARA HARBOR LOAN.
MKKTIXG AT TIKORANUI. About twenty ratepayers attended the meeting hold in the Tikorangi Hall on Tuesday night to discuss the Waitara Harbor Hoard's proposal to raise a loan of £13,000 for the improvement of the Waitara River. Mr. U. Alexander presided. Messrs J. nine (eliairman), H. K. Vaughan, and A. W. Ogle explained the scheme on similar lines to those of the Uruti meeting, and, after a few question* had been answered, a resolution ..was passed on the motion of Messrs .1. W. Foreman and L. Faull, thanking the board for the way in which they* Had placed the scheme before the mocti'ig. The mover complimented members on the clear statemnt of tlie case, and mlsd expressed the opinion that ratepav»is should go home and give the matter their earnest consideration.
