■'■ THE MOTUROA -LODGE. lil'v T' al fortni ß'Mly meeting of Lodge Moturoa, No. I!) U.A.O D last evening, A.D. Brot ] u , r \y. g -"fag** opened the lodge, at whichlhe business was soon concluded. This was followed by a very interc '.i,,g and in,posing ceremony, the installation of the district president for the ensuing year, Brother (Jl'arrott. Amongst the visitors were the officers and brethren from Inglewood, officers and brethren from Clifton, and District President Brother Cutler of Oroua. D.P. Brother Kwens was the installing officer. The district president took tlie chair and gave a very optimistic address on lMndiam, stressing the importance of the care of new members, and the fact that lodges should visit one another more frequently.
P.A. Brother 0. ISolrit spoke on behalf of Inglewood, thanking Moturoa for past assistance, and wishing the lodge all good luck.
Brother Cutler, of Palmerston North Lodge, gave a stirring address which was much appreciated by all the members present, and his advice, if acted upon, would be the means of .making Moturoa one of the most progressive of IdSgDS. In acknowledging a hearty vote of thanks, carried on tlie motion of P.D.P. Brother V. IT. Real, seconded by V. A. Brother Nicoll, P.D. Brother Ewens complimented the Moturoa Lodge upon its splendid progress. The concluding portion of the evening's work was the enjoyment of an excellent supper.
