NORTH TARANAKI HUNT.
ANNUAL MEETING. The adjourned annual meeting of the North Taranaki Hunt was held at Ne« Plymouth on Saturday afternoon, Mr. A.' R. Standish presiding. Office-bearers were elected as follow R. Patron, Hon. O. Samuel; president Mi. E W. Wheatley; vice-presidents: Messrs H J Okey, M.P., W. C. Weston F. Sampson, E. F. Blundell, and C. Topless, sen ; lion, surgeon, Mr. Mason; master, Mr. A. H. Halcombe; deputy masters Messrs Mason, L. Jenmns, and B. H.l Chancy; committee, Messrs O l'orcmaii,, W T Hookham. C. Nelson, W. Cole,/.] R.'standish, R. Pepperell, A. Humphries E Pepperell, P. Sampson, J. Cole, and N Fulton; auditor, Mr. C. Webster; secretary, Mr. E. L. Humphries The sub-committee appointed for the purpose submitted amended rules for consideration, and these were confirmed. It was decided to open the season on the 29th instant. . A sub-committee was appointed to draw up the fixtures for the season. An honorarium of 25 guineas was voted to the secretary. A very hoartv vote of thanks was accorded to farmers for granting the use. Of their properties during the past seasIt was decided to communicate with the Hawera Hunt with a view to fixing] dates for an exchange of visits. A sub-committee consisting of Messrs Standish, Weston, Hookham, Chancy, and the secretary was appointed to go into the. question of the date for ohe annual race meeting. Mr. C. Topless wrote resigning membership, but it was decided to ask Mr. Topless to reconsider his decision. A letter -was received from the. Now Zealand Hunts Association notifying that the Waikanae Hunt had applied to join the association.
